See You at #RETSO - Can't Wait!

Looking forward to heading to Atlanta tomorrow for REtechSouth. It's been a busy month, so I haven't had a ton of time to really think about it. But, it just hit me...and I am beyond excited! We've been working on some wonderful things lately for the event, and Jeff is speaking at two sessions, which I am pretty certain will rock....

Shiny New Things - How and Why Early Adopters Select the Products, Services and Technologies That They Do

A very interesting article outlining the patterns and behavior of early adopters in the digital world, including five unique attitudinal segments among technology early adopters based on differentiated responses to key questions.

Twenty pages, but time well spent in reading (and thinking).

The Imperative Question: Would You Recommend Me and My Services to a Friend?

Your staff is made up of brilliant minds.

Your marketing budget is golden.

You utilize sophisticated technology.

You've embraced social media and have hundreds of followers.

On the surface, it appears that you have a sound overall business strategy, but have you thought that something might be missing?

For a moment, imagine that you’re throwing away precious referral business because you aren't converting clients into evangelists.  What if your clients are actually apathetic or worse are spreading the words about their dissatisfaction with your service?

The implications are deadly…

Biggest Take-Aways From ICNY and REBCNY?

Quite simply....this past week in NYC was an amazing experience for me. It was my first Inman conference and RE Bar Camp experience.

I met so many wonderful people, heard stories about amazing things companies and people are working on and obtained brilliant insights about various topics relating to the industry.

I am interested in hearing everyone's thoughts.....

Did you find a session, meeting or event to be particularly insightful?

What was the most valuable piece of information you took away from the week's events?

Look forward to hearing from you all!

Who Doesn't Love a Bit of Controversy?

This discussion initially took place on Active Rain. It sparked quite a controversy of thoughts and feelings amongst those in the mortgage and real estate community, and, the post was written by 7DS's very own, Jeff Corbett.....

Come join @7DSAssociates and @altosresearch at Les Fleurs du Mal party #ICNY

Marquee_5

7DS Associates and Altos Research are pleased to invite friends old, new and not-yet-met to come party with us on Thursday, Jan 14th at Inman Connect NYC 2010.

We will be partying at Marquee Nightclub, located at 289 Tenth Ave (between 26th and 27th St.):

In order to be admitted, you must present a business card from one of us at 7DS Associates or from Altos Research, so come find one of us at REBarCamp NY or at Inman Connect.  Doors open at 11 PM, and our private area is limited to 100 people (plus or minus a few) so come early. :)

Absolutely no pictures or videos -- the club has a strict no-photo policy, and will throw you out if you are seen taking pictures.  Apparently this is on account of all the celebrities... or so they claim.

Until you've partied with @jeffx and @mikesimonsen, and of course, Rachel "Queen of the Night" Rusnak, you don't know what the RE.net is capable of...

So find yourself a business card, and come party with us!

What if Starbucks Was Run By a Mortgage Broker?

Some things would be different, that’s for sure:

  1. There would be no prices on the menu.
  2. The exact same coffee drink sold out of the same location on the same day would be sold at different prices to different people........"

Top 10 Real Estate News Stories of 2009... What Do You Think?

Inman posted an insightful article earlier this week outlining the "biggest" real estate events in 2009 - ranging from foreclosures to brokerage realignments to the integration of social media in business models....

What do you think was the most memorable/groundbreaking milestone or event that took place in 2009 - affecting real estate in either a positive or negative sense?
